Wasn't sure where to post this question but anyway......Is this a good drill for to do projects in and around the house? Was thinking of buying it for a Christmas gift for the husband but I'm not sure what to look for when purchasing something like this.
Any advice and/or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanx!

I need something that will be pretty strong and reliable, but i wont use it too much, so i dont need drills from companies like DeWalt and Black and Decker...
Is this an OK drill?:http://cgi.ebay.com/Maxsuma-HI-TORQUE-18V-Volt-Cordless-DRILL-DRIVER_W0QQitemZ200268031003QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item200268031003&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1199|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318|301%3A0|293%3A1|294%3A50
Thanks for the fast replies. I dont care if it is cordless or not because i actually want a drill with a cord(i feel it will be more reliable, energy wise). Please if there is a cheap reliable drill, please post a link. thank you so much.

I have an old Ryobi HP1201 12V that I bought a new charger for for , only to find out the battery on my power drill is completely dead!
So now I can either get a new battery for , or a Black and Decker BD12PSK 12-Volt Smart Select Drill for .
I have lots of bits and stuff for my old drill, but they are old and some are a little bit rusty. The charger I bought can't be used with the new drill, but it comes with one anyway. Both are cordless drills, and 12V.
If I get the new drill, the I spent on a charger is wasted, and I'll give my old drill to charity but since it won't have a battery it will probably just be trashed. Maybe I can Ebay the charger? Argh, what a pain though!
I haven't used the old drill in about 3 months, but I do need to have a power drill on hand for some projects.

About a year ago my husband’s ex called & asked for her cordless drill back. She used to live here & left it. He said no for some reason & they got into an argument. They are friends but he still wouldn’t give it back to her. Yesterday he asked me to list something for sale on ebay & when I went on there I see that he just purchased a brand new cordless drill. I saw him using a new drill the other day but didn’t even think about it. Anyway, he has a brand new one & the old one is now gone. Obviously he took it to her & bought one to replace it. I’m just wondering when all these phone calls & interactions are taking place because all I ever hear is “I’m going for a drive”.
I admit that I had problems w/ their friendship in the beginning because she would call him to come over & fix things in her apartment or fix her car or she would call whining that she doesn’t see him enough since he met me. He got a call while shopping for my wedding dress & under his breath he said “not right now, maybe tomorrow” and quickly hung up. I asked who it was & he said it was her & she wanted him to come over to see her & her 3 kids. They’re not his kids. I’m glad he didn’t lie about it but he wasn’t going to tell me a thing until I directly asked “who were you just talking to”?
I thought maybe he was doing this to avoid problems with me & I didn’t want him to feel like he couldn’t be friends with her because of his bitchy soon to be wife. I just felt like one of those jealous & insecure women so I haven’t caused a problem over their friendship ever since. I even asked to meet her which I did, I’ve had her over for a party once. I’m trying to make nice & let him see that he can have his friendship in the open & it doesn’t need to be secretive to avoid an argument.
So why would he continue to not take her calls when I’m there or not tell me if he has seen her? Is it just because the old arguments are still with him? Do you think he’s just avoiding a problem?

I need a power drill (preferably corded but cordless is okay too) to drill through light metal. I need it to drill/make little holes on the top of 1:18 scale model die-cast police cars for the light bars. Can you please recommend one? I don't need a high end drill or one with many pieces and tools. I just need one with a tip that will drill through light metal. I am thinking of buying one from eBay but a cheap new one is good too. Thanks!!
What size!!!!!?????

on ebay I bought a Milwaukee 18 volt cordless 4 pack for a decent price. It was in the original packing and you could tell it had never ben used. I charged the battery and squeezed the drills trigger. Orange sparks shot every where out of the back vents and I smelled somthing burning. Could it be fixed? Is it the drill brake hanging up? Should I try to get my money back from the seller? I would rather fix it than return it.
