Im in the market for a 12 volt cordless screwdriver lithium ion. Im debating in between the Milwaukee M12 screwdriver and the Dewalt 12 volt max. My dad has the Milwaukee M12 which we bought 3 years ago.Other than having the batteries replaced once under warranty tool is working great. I went down to my local home depot and held the Dewalt 12 volt max and its very comfortable and feels like it was made for my hand. I have four Dewalt tools over the years. Ive always been told its a comemricial Black N Decker. Im a more heavier Milwaukee user though. But in order to get the Milwaukee M12 to stand up like the Dewalt, i have to get the XC battery pack for another . I thought Id ask tool users which one they prefer and why Milwaukee M12 screwdriver or Dewalt 12 volt max screwdriver?
Which is a better tool set to buy. Both are really good and i would buy the newest of both and brand new, the milwaukee red lithium or RIDGID because RIDGID stands up to their name and have extremely good service warentees, but milwaukees newest red lithium are really nice. Need help. Would buy a kit with impact driver, drill/driver, sawzaw worklight.18volt lithium ion.
i'm a working plumber and want to get a 24 volt cordless sds hammer drill. the lithium ion is a bit pricey so prob settle for nicad.have heard mixed reports about the dewalt and makita, the makita having bad batteries and the dewalt shaking itself apart. any of this true. any help would be great!!
cheers
im looking to buy a drill my limit is 0 the most before tax. im looking to get one of the following
Milwaukee 18V Li-Ion Compact Drill Kit
Model 2601-22
9.00
RIDGID Lithium Compact Drill Driver
Model R86006
7.00
Makita 18V Compact Lithium-Ion Cordless 1/2 In. Driver-Drill Kit
Model BDF452HW
1.00
so i am unsure of which one to get. some review say that the makita batteries are dead after one year. the milwaukee has batteries issues as well. the ridgid has 5 out of 5. the milwaukee and makita brands are better than ridgid but the ridgid came out with better reviews. let me know what you think. please no other brands just the three that i mentioned. this drill will be used for general use and rarely used im not in the trade but i am a handy man and when the time comes i want a good drill not a cheap one like b&d
Is such battery exist?
For a short duration (10 seconds), very high current drain (1 - 2 Amp), but still maintaining low self-discharge rate (70% or more within 1 year).
For example, Rechargeable AA NiCd / NiMh great for high current but mediocre self discharge. Non-rechargeable Alkaline / Lithium AA has virtually no self discharge, but does not withstand very high current drain.
The perfect battery is supposedly Rechargeable Lithium-Ion (which is used in new generation cordless power tools (drills, etc), but IS AA SIZE (PENLITE) RECHARGEABLE BATTERY EXIST, YET?
Otherwise what's best the AA alternative?
I heard Sanyo's Eneloop isn't good if being used for very high current, is this correct?
is a 12 volt lithium ion cordlesss drill good enough for hvac work i will be installing commercial duct and probably drilling with it to . these new drills are very light but do they have the power?
